Paul Heyman may return to WWE for Roman Reigns: “Not just riding his wave of success and hanging out…”

Paul Heyman’s WWE return was kept a secret by the company. The last time Heyman was seen in the ring was on the June 28 episode of SmackDown, when he was attacked by Solo Sikoa and his other Bloodline members. Heyman was thrown through the announce table for not acknowledging Solo Sikoa as his Tribal Chief. The Wiseman was written off of television, which was understandable, and he was expected to return with Roman Reigns.

However, only Roman Reigns returned at SummerSlam, with Heyman nowhere to be seen. The creative genius was recently seen at WWE’s Fanatic Fest, where he spoke about his TV return.

Heyman, as always, did not give a precise answer to this question, but rather a convoluted answer. He said he would only return if it was “relevant” as he did not want to ride on Roman Reigns’ coattails and cling to his fame.

“It will provide storylines for a year. I will come back when it is relevant for me to come back, when I need to come back, when I can add something to Roman Reigns and not just ride his wave of success and revel in his fame,” he said.

Heyman wanted to emphasize that he only wants to return if there is a need and his presence adds value to the product. He wanted to say that he does not work like a shadow of Roman Reigns and has his own creative presence and contribution to this Bloodline storyline.

He referred to Jimmy Hart, a close friend of Hulk Hogan, and said that he did not want to be like him.

“I love Jimmy Hart, I really do, I have so much respect for Jimmy Hart. But I don’t want to be Jimmy Hart wearing the boas for Hulk Hogan. I want to do something that adds so much to the performance that you sit there and say, ‘I love Roman Reigns, but my God, I love him so much more with The Wiseman Paul Heyman,'” he said.

Paul Heyman is a creative genius in the WWE and is known for writing amazing storylines. He has been involved in pro wrestling for more than three decades and knows the industry inside and out. In addition to being a great mind, Heyman is also known for spotting good talent on the roster.

So far, Heyman has banked on three WWE Superstars and all three have been super successful in WWE. Brock Lesnar, CM Punk and now Roman Reigns are the three people Heyman has worked with and he has gotten such good work from them that these wrestlers have become huge Superstars. All eyes are now on Heyman’s WWE return.
