Aug. 19 (UPI) – A new poster for Joker: Foil for Two was released on Monday and gave a preview of the upcoming film’s premiere date, October 4th.
The poster shows Harleen Quinzel, better known as Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga) and Joker (Joaquin Phoenix) staring into each other’s eyes. The couple can be seen with blood-smeared faces.
Fans expressed their excitement about the new poster with statements like, “We are so ready for our icons” and “Obsessed with this photo.”
Lady Gaga told Rich that the role of the character, also known as Lee, was “unlike anything” she had ever done before.
“I’m a trained singer, right? Even my breathing was different when I sang as Lee. When I breathe when I sing on stage, I have this very controlled way of making sure I hit the right note and have the right rhythm and duration, but Lee would never know that,” Gaga said. “So it’s like removing the technicality of the whole thing, removing my perceived art form from the whole thing and being completely in it, who it is.”
The upcoming Warner Bros. film is the second chapter after the 2019 film jokerand the new film tells the love story of Arthur Fleck after landing in Arkham.
