Bron Breakker put himself in a position where he is undeniable

Bron Breakker keeps a cool head despite receiving a lot of praise.

Breakker recently spoke with WrestleZone Editor-in-Chief Bill Pritchard about the many compliments he has received from WWE legends. Hulk Hogan sees Breakker as the next “guy” like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Goldberg told Chris Van Vliet that he has spent a lot of time with Breakker and knows the business well.

Even Sami Zayn, who Breakker defeated for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam, said Breakker has everything he needs to become a major player in WWE if he keeps going like this.

Breakker appreciates these comments but doesn’t let them inflate his ego. He has a lot planned and tries to stay grounded as best he can.

“I’m really grateful and happy about all the kind words from the big names you mentioned. I don’t let it bother me and make me think that I’m really good or any of that crap,” Breakker explained. “Because I know that I still have a lot of work to do and a long way to go. Because I want to have a long, illustrious career.”

“I have a lot of goals. So if the names you mentioned or someone who’s been in our industry before and done great things mentions me or anything else, that’s positive and great,” he continued. “So, I really appreciate that. I just don’t let it — it doesn’t make me conceited or anything. (I) stay grounded.”

Bron Breakker on his goals

Aside from focusing on the Intercontinental Title in recent months, Breakker was asked if he had a specific goal at the start of the year to measure his success. Breakker said he was really focused on being undeniable and he said that included any Championship scenario.

“I don’t have a concrete (benchmark). Before I got into the discussion for the Intercontinental Championship, there was no concrete goal. (It) was just, ‘How can I be undeniable,’ to be where they can’t deny me from being in some kind of championship picture. And you know, I think I’ve done that. I’m at a point where you can’t do that anymore. There’s just no way to put me in any other scenario where you can deny me or (put me in anything) other than a championship scenario. So I put myself in that position. I deserve it.”

Breakker called SummerSlam the biggest match of his life and they would see how he handles the pressure. As the Intercontinental Champion, Breakker seems to be handling it well.
