Donald Trump has done it a political strategy Vice President Kamala Harris personally. On Saturday (August 17), his crude antics were on full display again when the former president held a campaign rally in the swing state of Pennsylvania.
In typical Trump fashion, he couldn’t help but mock his Democratic opponent’s looks. However, he needs to stop making comments about black women. His attacks on Harris have always been rooted in both racism and sexism.
In addition, it distracts from the fact that Trump is losing momentum as Harris now leads to more Black people know that Trump’s statements are not only racist, but simply wrong.
At the rally in Pennsylvania, the former president spoke for nearly two hours, insulting Harris’ cautious economic policies before insulting her looks.
“Yesterday, Kamala laid out her so-called economic plan. She says she’s going to lower the cost of food and housing from day one. But day one for Kamala was three and a half years ago,” Trump said. according to ABC News.
Trump then complained about the criticism he allegedly received after calling Harris “gorgeous” on the cover of Time magazine last week. an interview with Elon Musk.
“Never call a woman beautiful because that will be the end of your political career, please,” Trump explained at the rally. Afterwards he personally handed out to Harris.
“But I say I look much better. I’m a better looking person than Kamala. They said, ‘No, her biggest advantage is that she’s a beautiful woman.’ I go, huh? I never thought of that. I look better than her.”
Trump’s attack on Harris is anything but new. At the annual conference of the National Association of Black Journalists in Chicago last monthhe explained that Harris’ blackness seemed to come out of nowhere.
“I didn’t know she was black until she happened to be black a few years ago,” Trump said at the event. “And now she wants to be known as black. Is she Indian or is she black?”
In addition, other conservative politicians such as Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) called Harris a “DEI Vice President” and questioned her intelligence. JD Vance has repeatedly called her a “childless cat lady” and others have even demonized her dating past.
Unfortunately for Trump, Harris’ quest for the White House will continue regardless of all the insults.
