ROBERT Griffin III has spoken out for the first time since his shocking firing from ESPN.

The The 34-year-old NFL analyst had worked for the network for three years before being fired last Thursday.

Griffin’s contract would have lasted two more years, but ESPN has decided to go in a different direction.

Since joining the network, the former quarterback has worked on NFL Live and Monday Night Countdown.

At the same time, he also reported on college football.

Griffin spoke for the first time since the news of his departure from ESPN broke and promised to disclose everything in time.

Griffin’s fate seemed to be sealed back in April when he was replaced by Jason Kelce on Countdown.

In addition to Griffin, ESPN has also parted ways with NFL Countdown host Sam Ponder.

He was dropped by the network in 2021, despite strong interest from Fox.

In addition to his work at ESPN, Griffin also hosts his own podcast, Outta Pocket with RGIII.

Last season, Griffin’s role at ESPN began to wane.

He was seriously considered for a new job as the second-best college football analyst, but the position was offered to Greg McElroy.

On Thursday, Griffin posted a cryptic tweet suggesting that those around him wanted him to fail.

“There are people around you who say they want you to win but are doing everything they can to make you lose,” he wrote.

“Don’t be afraid to cut people off when they keep handing you the scissors.”
