Their first stop will be at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on August 1, 2025.

And two days later, the band will play at Tottenham’s glittering arena in north London ahead of the new Premier League season.

However, some fans couldn’t resist taking a cheeky swipe at Spurs.

The club’s last victory came in the 2008 Carabao Cup, when they beat rivals Chelsea 2-1.

Since then, Tottenham have missed numerous opportunities to win trophies.

They finished second in the 2016/17 Premier League season, missing the chance to overtake Leicester the year before.

In 2019, Spurs lost to Liverpool in the Champions League final.

And their last opportunity to win a trophy came in the 2021 Carabao Cup final, when Daniel Levy sacked Jose Mourinho just days before the defeat to Man City.

But when Catfish and the Bottlemen came to town, opposing fans were taken with the band’s name.

One said: “The Bottlemen at Tottenham? Sometimes the jokes write themselves.”

Ange Postecoglou’s tirade using the F-word was broadcast live on television as he ripped apart the shocked Tottenham players during a drinks break

Another said: “Tottenham host the Bottlemen, the joke is there.”

One commented: “It’s really funny that the Bottlemen play for the Spurs.”

Another added: “You’re saying Catfish is joining the rest of the Spurs squad.”
