A video of Taylor Swift’s mother at her daughter’s Eras tour show in London has gone viral on the Internet.
Andrea Swift was spotted at the “Cruel Summer” singer’s concert over the weekend, where she sang “August” with her fans.
In the 30-second clip, which was shared on both X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok, the 66-year-old spoke to concertgoers while dancing and belting out the tune.
TikTok user @angeladevetta – who, according to his TikTok profile, is “Senior Sync Exec @sonymusicpub & Artist Manager” – originally posted the video on social media.
“MAMMA SWIFT!” the poster wrote on TikTok. The original post was later shared on X. “Andrea sang August with her fans yesterday,” @kaiamal13 captioned the clip on August 18. At the time of publication, the TikTok video had more than 112,000 views, and the reshare on X brought in another 229,000 views.
In the comments, people praised the sweet moment captured on camera.
“It gives me goosebumps,” @paolaisdoingherbest wrote under the video on TikTok.
“She looks so cute!!! And sweet too oh my god,” posted user @arnesakustura.
“She seriously is the sweetest. She is so precious,” @twizletic added, while @f13ts commented, “This made me SMILE.”
On X, Swift’s fans, known as Swifties, expressed similar sentiments. “This is so sweet, thank you for sharing,” wrote @daylight_poetry.
“So pure! LOVE,” shared @itstetrisbish, while @Danielle0903 posted, “This makes me cry I don’t know why!!”
Swift is known for having a close relationship with her family. Andrea Swift and her husband Scott, as well as Swift’s brother Austin, are often spotted by fans in the audience at her concerts.
The pop star resumed her hugely popular Eras Tour on Thursday, with five dates scheduled at London’s Wembley Stadium from August 15-20, after playing there during an earlier leg of her tour in June.
The Grammy winner’s three concerts in Vienna, Austria, were canceled following a foiled terrorist attack believed to have been inspired by the Islamic State (ISIS) and al-Qaeda.
Austrian authorities announced that three suspects had been arrested earlier this month. Police investigators said one of the suspects confessed to wanting to “kill as many people as possible outside the concert site.”
Swift has not yet commented on the incident.
The situation in Vienna raised questions about the safety of Swift’s London shows.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police explained to Sky News how they intend to deal with the concerts.
“London hosts a significant number of high-profile events each year, providing millions of visitors with a safe and enjoyable experience,” the spokesperson said. “The Met works closely with venue security teams and other partners to ensure appropriate security and policing plans are in place.”
The spokesman continued: “There is no indication that the matters being investigated by the Austrian authorities will have any impact on future events here in London. As always, we will carefully consider any new information.”
Swift’s Eras Tour ends in December in Vancouver, Canada.
