The e& Youth Council recently welcomed representatives from the Emirates Global Youth Council in the UK to its Open Innovation Centre in Dubai, bringing together more than 50 Emirati students studying in the UK to highlight the diverse future opportunities in the e& sector.
By aligning the e& Youth Council with the UAE Ministry of Culture’s Global Youth Council, the visit, which coincides with International Youth Day 2024, aims to attract prospective UAE citizens studying at top British universities and highlight e&’s commitment to Emiratisation.

By promoting communication and cooperation with various entities, we aim to help our youth achieve their aspirations and empower them to effectively contribute to the sustainable development of the UAE.

Initiatives like this create new opportunities for youth to be part of the UAE’s ongoing journey of innovation and growth. Our aim is to give them access to the latest global technologies and trends, enabling them to play a key role in our nation’s digital transformation.”

During the visit, the Global Youth Council was introduced to the e& Youth Council and engaged in an open dialogue with e& leaders during a ‘Jalsa’ session. This was followed by inspirational youth talks and finally a tour of the Open Innovation Centre showcasing e&’s cutting-edge technology, accompanied by a visit to the EASE autonomous retail store.
This event provided valuable insight and numerous networking opportunities for all attendees. They connected with industry leaders, built relationships with other Youth Council members, and gained insight into e&’s dynamic culture.
Launched in 2022, the e& Youth Council is an initiative aimed at empowering and engaging youth in the e& sector in line with the UAE National Youth Agenda. Following the appointment of the UAE’s first Minister of Youth in 2016 and the establishment of the Federal Youth Authority in 2019, the Council serves as a platform for young leaders to make their voices heard.
The e& Youth Council plays an important role in giving young employees a voice and a strong sense of responsibility. By investing in the energy and creativity of young talent, the Council significantly increases employee engagement and contributes to the company’s innovation and success.
