Meghan Markle has been living a more independent life since she and Prince Harry left the royal family, but now the Duchess of Sussex is under “pressure” to share more about her story.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have not had an easy time stepping away from the royal family. Although the two felt it was important to tell their story, they received heavy criticism for interviews, the Netflix documentary and even Harry’s memoir, Spare. But with all of those revelations – and criticism – came a lot of money and probably some relief for the couple. Now that their reputation is no longer what they had hoped, Meghan faces a big decision in her “fight” against the royals.
Meghan Markle is ‘under pressure’ to write her memoirs
If Meghan wrote a memoir, would you read it? It’s a question that has been on the minds of royal fans since Harry first announced he was writing one. Rumors have been circulating for some time that Meghan might eventually write a book of her own, and her recent words in a CBS interview have people more convinced than ever that she might write one. While speaking to Jane Paul for CBS Sunday Morning, Meghan revealed that she hasn’t “really scratched the surface” of what happened to her in the royal family – words that have left everyone wondering if she ever will.
Now a source close to the Duchess is claiming she is “under pressure” to write her own memoirs. The Independent reports that a source told Closer Magazine that Harry and Meghan “are now forced to come up with a strategy to fight back and one option on the table is to go all out with a major tell-all from Meghan, in which she gives her side of the story in full.” Meghan has not specified whether or not a tell-all is on the table; only alleged sources and general rumours from the public have suggested this.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not return to Britain
Meghan has seemingly done little to work things out with the royals since she and Harry stepped down in 2020, and they have done nothing either (though it’s possible there have been behind-the-scenes conversations that the public doesn’t know about). At this point, it doesn’t look like Meghan will ever return to the UK given the Sussexes’ security situation.
Harry has said that security measures in the UK are not sufficient to protect his family and that he will not bring them there until he has more adequate protection in place. Until that happens, it seems Meghan will not take any steps to improve her relationship with the other royals.
