It’s unclear if the Broncos saw everything they needed to see from Nix in this game. With much of the second quarter still to play, head coach Sean Payton could opt to bench his projected starting quarterback for the remainder of the game and let Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson utilize their skills.

If that’s how it goes, Nix threw for 80 yards, completed 8 of 9 passes, scored a touchdown, and achieved a QB rating of 140.7. *whistles*. The rookie also managed 12 rushing yards on three attempts.

Payton’s face is all smiles as he sees Nix move the chains on the third attempt. Nix made two of three on the third attempt, including an air pass to Patrick nine yards from the goal.

For those who have been counting, Nix has scored on six of seven possessions as a professional, for a total of 30 points.
