Lizzo’s fitness video causes ridicule on the Internet: “The bullying worked”

Lizzo is currently on a fitness journey and has been sharing clips of her workouts on Instagram and TikTok. As usual, the videos have received both positive and negative comments.

Many praised the “Truth Hurts” singer for her efforts to improve her health, while others called her a hypocrite for wanting to change when she claims to be comfortable in her own skin, no matter what size she is.

Some question her progress, commenting: “Nothing has really changed. She is just as tall as she was before.” Others claim that the “bullying” she is often subjected to “has worked,” and some are even convinced that the South Park Episode in which she is mentioned was her only motivation to get fit.

The above mentioned South Park The episode, titled “Ending Obesity,” aired in May. The premise revolves around a fictional weight-loss drug called “Lizzo,” which is given to Cartman as a cheaper alternative to Ozempic. The goal of the drug is to promote positive body image and reduce weight-related expectations.

After seeing the segment for the first time, Lizzo shared her reaction online, saying at the time, “I’m just like, damn, I really am that bitch. I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a damn, so much so that these men in Colorado know who I am and put it in their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years. I really am that bitch and I’m showing y’all how to not give a damn and I’m going to continue to show y’all how to not give a damn.”

Lizzo’s weight has been the focus of attention since her breakthrough in 2017. In a recent interview with New York Times, Lizzo announced that her stance on the body positivity movement has changed.

“The idea of body positivity has moved away from the outdated mainstream notion,” she said. “It’s evolved into body neutrality. I’m not going to lie and say I love my body every day,” said Lizzo, 35. “The bottom line is the way you think about your body changes every day.”

Despite the negative comments, many fans defended Lizzo.

“I saw a few people making fun of Lizzo’s workout video,” one person tweeted. “She made the decision to improve her health by managing her weight. That’s commendable. Making fun of her for losing weight would be like making fun of a homeless person applying for a job. Be better.”

Still, criticism continued in the comments section, with one person saying, “Maybe she should start making statements about how unhealthy this is and how wrong she was for feeding millions of people this fat positivity nonsense of ‘healthy and beautiful at any weight.'”

Lizzo has not yet commented on the reaction to the fitness video and is instead focusing on promoting her shapewear brand Yitty.
