(VIDEO) The most frequently overlooked maintenance point on our vehicles is…

Our friend Justin from the YouTube channel HorsePower Obsessed brings up an interesting point about maintaining our Corvettes, including this little known point you’re probably missing. Justin talks about regularly changing the cabin air filter, something that’s probably not on many people’s radar.

The cabin air filter is designed to prevent dust, pollen, and other airborne contaminants from entering the passenger cabin through the vents or when the air conditioning is in use. Wanting to learn more about the maintenance procedure, I downloaded a 2024 Corvette owner’s manual. The manual shows us how to do it, but there is no information on how often the cabin air filter should be changed. Justin suggests doing it annually when you change the oil, and since these filters sell for only $10-$15 on Amazon, why not change them more often?

In the video we see Justin and his friend replacing the cabin air filter on a C7 and a C8 Corvette. It’s so easy that you could do it at a car show like Justin does here.
