One of the best quarterbacks of all time has announced his current top 5 quarterbacks in the NFL.
At Fanatics Fest on Sunday, Peyton Manning listed the active quarterbacks he considers to be the best. His No. 1 quarterback should come as no surprise, as Manning named Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes.
From there, Manning listed Cincinnati Bengals star Joe Burrow, who missed much of last season due to injury but is hoping to make a comeback this year.
“I’m a big fan of Joe Burrow. I’m glad to see him healthy again,” Manning said. “I like his demeanor… He doesn’t sweat, he doesn’t flinch. He’s just calm and collected the whole time.”
Manning also mentioned Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, who Manning said can “throw the ball a long way.”
Of course, Manning also had to include reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and praised the Baltimore Ravens star for doing everything well on the field.
“Lamar Jackson does things that just don’t seem possible with the football in his hands,” Manning said. “He throws, he runs, he’s smart. And he protects himself, too.”
Most recently, Manning mentioned Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen, who recently failed in the playoffs but, according to Manning, is motivated to finally win a Super Bowl.
“Josh Allen is an absolute star. Tough,” Manning said. “I saw him this summer, he’s so motivated to bring Buffalo a championship.”

For the five quarterbacks mentioned, getting praise from Manning is no small feat, and those not on the list will try to use that as motivation in the upcoming season.
