North Korea comments on attack on Kursk – Ukraine claims dictatorship missiles were used in attack on Kiev

Now more details about Russia’s nighttime missile attack on Kiev, which Ukraine says was “most likely” North Korean weapons.

Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv military administration, said: “According to preliminary information, the Russians have most likely used North Korean ballistic missiles for the third time in a row.”

South Korea, Ukraine and the United States have accused North Korea of supplying artillery and missiles to Russia, which both states have denied.

Meanwhile, North Korea condemned Ukraine’s incursion into Russia and said it would always stand by Russia, state media reported.

The dictatorship blamed the US for the attack, adding that it was pushing the situation to the brink of World War III, the KCNA news agency reported.

“We strongly condemn the armed attack on Russian territory by the puppet Zelensky regime under the control and support of the United States and the West and consider it an unforgivable act of aggression and terror,” the North Korean Foreign Ministry said.

North Korea has significantly improved its relations with Russia over the past year through two summits between their two leaders, which promised closer cooperation in all areas.

In June, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a “comprehensive strategic partnership” pact in Pyongyang, which also included a mutual defense agreement.
