His girlfriend keeps asking him for an engagement ring, but he doesn’t want to feel pressured to propose before he’s ready – Chip Chick

This 37-year-old man and his 35-year-old girlfriend have been together for six years and moved in together five years ago. On paper, their relationship seems perfect.

He and his girlfriend both have steady jobs and earn good money, so finances are not a problem for them. His girlfriend also has a daughter from a previous relationship who was just 2 years old when they met. Now she is 9, he calls her his “stepdaughter” and they get along wonderfully.

“Everything is fine,” he said.

His girlfriend keeps asking him when he will finally get down on one knee and call her, but he’s just not ready.

Their lack of commitment has apparently put their lives on hold as well. He and his girlfriend have been renting a house for the past few years, and she isn’t ready to look for other places or buy a home of her own until she has an engagement ring.

She doesn’t know that he actually visited a jewelry store about a year and a half ago.

“And I bought a ring because I plan to marry her one day. She is the woman I want to be with,” he explained.

The only reason he hasn’t proposed to her yet is because he wants to wait until he’s “ready” and the time is right. Moreover, he is reportedly planning a unique and “unforgettable” proposal to surprise her with.

Still, it seems like his girlfriend is pestering him about a ring every other day. She even brings up the subject when they’re hanging out with her friends, which leads to some pretty awkward conversations.
