Bridgerton Season 4 is in early production and two actors have already been confirmed
Bridgerton Season 3 tells the story of Penelope and Colin’s romance, but what will season 4 include?
Part 1 of season 3 premiered on May 16, part 2 on June 13, but luckily there’s a lot more in store.
In April 2021, Netflix confirmed that the series had been renewed for both a third and fourth season. Although details about the upcoming season have been few and far between, author Julia Quinn recently confirmed to PEOPLE that plans are currently in the works – including which love story member of the Bridgerton family will be the focus.
While the third book follows Benedict’s journey to find a romantic partner, the Netflix series has taken a new approach in the last season and now follows the fourth book, A romance with Mister Bridgerton. Now we know that Benedict’s story will be told in Season 4 instead, meaning he’s next.

Who is in the cast of Bridgerton Season 4?
Luke Thompson, who plays Benedict, will reprise his role in season 4. Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope, and Luke Newton, who plays heartthrob Colin Bridgerton, will also return.
“They told us we’re back for season 4, which is super nice… It’s going to be exciting,” she teased The Wrap“(We will) definitely come back and have some fun.”
During a press conference at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival in Monaco on Saturday, June 15, Simone Ashley announced that she and Jonathan Bailey hope to return in season 4.
“Johnny and I love our characters Kate and Anthony so much, their relationship and what they mean to the show,” she said, adding: “I think we’re going to do everything we can to make it work, to hopefully make it work.”
Although no other cast members have been confirmed yet, it is believed that Adjoa Andoh, Golda Rosheuvel, Ruth Gemmell, Claudia Jessie and Hannah Dodd, who joined the cast in season 3, will all return. It is also likely that Masali Baduza, who joined the cast in a surprise role at the end of season 3, will return.

What will Bridgerton What is season 4 about?
In May 2024, showrunner Jess Brownell confirmed that the script was in the early stages. Refinery29, and teased that they were “in the process of writing it.”
Quinn confirmed to PEOPLE early on that she knew who would be at the center of the story, but she couldn’t give anything away at the time. It didn’t take long for Netflix to confirm that Benedict was finally taking the lead – just as fans had suspected.
Netflix announced the news in an Instagram post in July 2024 that included clips of Benedict’s scenes from the series. The caption read, “Welcome to the marriage market, Mr. Bridgerton. Benedict’s story is coming next season.”

When will Bridgerton Film for season 4?
However, Netflix has not yet confirmed an official filming date Forbes reported that production began in April 2024. There were further reports that filming could begin this summer in London.
How many episodes will Bridgerton Have season 4?
In July 2024, Netflix confirmed that season 4 will consist of eight episodes.

When will Bridgerton Season 4 released?
Bridgerton There is no release date for season 4 yet, but with filming rumored to begin in summer 2024, we probably won’t see new episodes until 2025. However, the first three seasons are currently streaming on Netflix.
