Real Madrid rejects Saudi Arabia’s €100 million offer for key defender

Real Madrid rejects Saudi Arabia’s €100 million offer for key defender

Real Madrid have a few crucial weeks ahead of them as they need to finalise their squad for this season.

Although the club started the season with a victory over Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup, there are still problems to solve if they are to defend their Champions League and La Liga titles.

One of the problem areas is the total lack of depth in the team, perhaps that is why Real Madrid are so keen to keep hold of their existing players.

Dani Ceballos closes door before exit

One of the beneficiaries of Real Madrid’s lack of depth could be Dani Ceballos. The Spanish midfielder was previously linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, but it looks like he will end up staying at the club.

In fact, AS reports that Ceballos has closed the possibility of a move away from the Bernabeu this summer.

The report adds that Ceballos has received several offers from clubs across Europe, but the player has not considered any of these deals as he is determined to stay at Real Madrid.

This despite the fact that Ceballos is not too optimistic about his inclusion in Carlo Ancelotti’s season plans.

Despite the retirement of Toni Kroos, Real Madrid has a strong midfield that includes Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham, Luka Modric, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.

What is the reason for this mood?

The report reveals that Ceballos originally planned to leave Real Madrid this summer, but a series of events forced him to change his mind.

It all started with Kroos’ retirement, followed by Real Madrid’s creative weaknesses in the game against Atalanta.

It is clear that The Royal Without players like Ceballos and Modric in the team, there is a lack of creativity in midfield.

In addition, Ancelotti had met Ceballos personally before the holiday and confirmed that he is part of the Italian’s plans for the coming season.

Perhaps that is why Ceballos has decided to play another season at Real Madrid and fight for his place in the team. His current contract at the Bernabeu expires in the summer of 2027.
