Legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady this week revealed an insider account of how his autograph has changed over the years and what Easter egg he incorporates into his current signature.

While looking at some of his signed cards from years past at Fanatics Fest in New York City on Friday, Brady explained the evolution of his signature:

Brady revealed that his original autograph came from a desire to sign his name the same way his father does.

And today, Brady revealed that his current autograph features a “B” consisting of a “1” and a “2.”

Of course, Brady wore the No. 12 jersey during his illustrious 23-year playing career with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he found a way to incorporate his number into his signature.

Brady, 47, is arguably the best player in NFL history and his autograph is one of the most coveted in the entire sports world.

Over the course of his nearly quarter-century NFL career, Brady was a 15-time Pro Bowler, three-time First Team All-Pro, three-time NFL MVP, seven-time Super Bowl champion and five-time Super Bowl MVP.

Brady also ranks first in NFL history in completions (7,753), passing yardage (89,214) and passing touchdowns (649).

Now he is about to begin the next phase of his career in the world of football: In the 2024 season, Brady will be the top co-commentator for Fox’s NFL coverage.
