Following the 2024 PFL Playoffs 2, UFC fighters Brendan Allen and Marvin Vettori got into a brawl of their own on the floor of a casino, sparking a social media reaction from UFC CEO Dana White.
The PFL event took place Friday at Hard Rock Live, a venue inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. After the event, animosity between the UFC middleweights boiled over as they crossed paths on the casino floor and punches were traded in front of a crowd of spectators.
Several videos of the incident were posted on social media, showing Allen (24-5 MMA, 12-2 UFC) and Vettori (19-6-1 MMA, 9-5-1 UFC) getting physical:

According to a report from Alex Behunin of MMA Mania, Vettori threw punches at UFC light heavyweight Tuco Tokkos but missed. Allen then stepped forward and began punching Vettori.
Shortly after, Vettori posted a selfie video on his Instagram stories showing his face without any injuries from the brawl. He also posted a quote that read: “One-armed Vettori is undefeated. He never misses a beat.”
News of the incident reached UFC CEO White, who gave X a witty response.
“had to be the fight of the night if he was in the PFL,” White wrote.
If it were in the PFL, it would have to be the fight of the night.

Allen and Vettori have faced each other several times in the past and were scheduled to face each other at UFC Fight Night 240 in April, but Vettori pulled out due to injury. Allen later defeated Chris Curtis, who stepped in at short notice.
After the fight, Allen lashed out at Vettori, who criticized the performance. Allen also revealed that he had previously personally confronted his once-scheduled opponent over statements made on social media, but said Vettori “got behind someone.”
