UFC 305 pre-fight preview
UFC 305’s main card features local Australian talent and prominent fighters, as well as preliminary bouts. Junior Tafa vs. Valter Walker is the highlight of the preliminary bouts. Tafa has a 1-1 record in his last two fights. “The Juggernaut” was replaced by his brother Justin in March after an injury forced him to pull out of a contest against Karl Williams. That would have been a month after his last fight.
Walker is also hoping to rebound from a loss in his UFC debut in April. The Russian has six wins by knockout since turning professional in 2020.

This fight is not about rankings, but about respect and bragging rights. The UFC’s heavyweight division is well-filled thanks to champion Jon Jones, interim champion Tom Aspinall and Stipe Miocic. Until a combination of these three fights, the division has stalled. Tafa and Walker will look to make an impression towards the end of the year.
