Lee Brass in Anniston closes, leaving over 100 people without jobs

Anniston-based Lee Brass ceased operations this week, leaving 128 people unemployed.

Employees were notified on August 9 and the plant was closed on August 14.

Lee Brass’s human resources department said no one was at the plant and no checks were being issued. Employees are asked to contact Fidelis with any questions.

They announced that M&H Valve, Tyler Union, Talladega Foundry and Kronospan are hiring.

“I know this has been a very stressful and sad week,” said Carol from HR. “Personally, I have experienced incessant tears and uncontrollable anger. The worst part is that I had to experience this without warning.”

“But I want to thank you for your contributions, your friendship and the memories,” she added.

Arthur and Alfred Lee founded Lee Brass in 1917.
