Video: Everything you need to know about the 2024 Cincinnati Open
The Cincinnati Open tennis tournament will take place again in Mason from August 11 to 19. Here you can find out everything you need to know.
MASON, Ohio — The Cincinnati Open began Sunday at the Lindner Family Tennis Center. This year’s field includes seven former winners of the tournament and more than 100 players who competed in the Paris Olympics, but many will not be on the court until the main draw begins.
However, the Cincinnati Open is an ATP Masters 1000 and WTA Tour 1000 level event, meaning the qualifying rounds that began on Sunday morning still featured some of the best players in professional tennis. Borna Coric, ranked 94th in the world, won the Cincinnati Open two years ago and will face Italy’s Lorenzo Sonego in the opening qualifying round on Sunday.
Former world number one Naomi Osaka is back in Cincinnati and, after a brief travel delay, will face Russian Anna Blinkova at the P&G Grandstand on Sunday afternoon.

There will be eight qualifiers from the men’s and women’s fields who will win two matches over the next two days to advance to the singles main draw. The qualifying rounds will be completed and the men’s main draw will begin during the evening session on Monday. The women’s main draw will begin on Tuesday.
