Calvin W. Fike, age 60, of Punxsutawney, PA, died Thursday, August 15, 2024, at his mother’s home.
He was born on July 26, 1964, in DuBois, PA, to Ronald Fike and Marlene J. (Henry) Fike. His father died before him, his mother is still living.
Calvin graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School, attended St. Mark’s Seminary, and graduated from Gannon University with a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences in 1987.
He was a substitute teacher and a licensed real estate agent in Pennsylvania. He had worked as a security supervisor at the DuBois Mall and before that at Lowes and Wal Mart in DuBois.
He enjoyed traveling, loved cats, and was a New York Yankees fan. Calvin enjoyed the outdoors and volunteered with the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
In addition to his mother, Calvin leaves behind his aunts (Shirley Turner, Florence Fike, Pat Turner and Hazel Fike and their families) and numerous cousins.
A sister (Michele R. Fike) and his maternal and paternal grandparents predeceased him.
Viewing will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. The service will be led by Msgr. Richard Siefer.
Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, Cloe, PA.
