Randy Orton has invested over 600 hours in Elden Ring

Between May 2022 and November 2023, WWE wrestler Randy Orton had to take a long break due to injury. And apparently Orton spent much of that time playing From Software’s Elden Ring and exploring the lands in between. While Orton is back in action now, he has logged 600 hours in Elden Ring since he started playing.

Via VGC, Orton revealed his devotion to Elden Ring during undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes’ “What Do You Wanna Talk About” video series. Orton recalled teasing Rhodes about being a gamer, but now he’s even more of a gamer than Rhodes.

“I fucking love Elden Ring,” Orton said. “I’ll preface this next statement by saying that I’ve been out of action for spinal surgery, so I’ve had a lot of time on my hands. I’ve spent about 600 hours on the game… I love this game. DLC just came out.”

Since becoming the face of WWE, Rhodes doesn’t have as much free time as he used to. That’s one of the reasons he hasn’t competed in Elden Ring yet. But Orton still wants to share the experience with his friend.

“You’re giving it your all and you don’t have time, and I understand why,” Orton said. “I’d love to argue with you about the Elden Ring, trust me. I wish you were a Tarnished too, but you’re not.”

Orton recently signed a new five-year deal with WWE, which would presumably allow him to buy that upcoming, extremely expensive Elden Ring book. Even if he doesn’t, it sounds like he plans to keep playing the game for a long time to come.
