“The parents told us that they suspect the involvement of several people in the sexual harassment and murder of their daughter. They have given us the names of some interns and doctors working with their daughter at RG Kar Hospital,” the CBI official said.
The central agency official said that questioning doctors and Kolkata Police officials involved in the investigation was a priority.
“We have identified at least 30 names that we will summon for questioning. We have already started questioning,” he said.
The CBI on Friday summoned a hospital employee, two postgraduate trainees (PGTs) who were on duty with the doctor on the night she was murdered.
CBI investigators had already questioned the officer on duty at Tala police station on Thursday evening. The body of the postgraduate intern was found in the seminar room of RG Kar Hospital on August 9. The next day, the police arrested a volunteer in this connection.
The CBI took the arrested man to the hospital on Friday for crime scene reconstruction, the source said.
