This week’s guest is our editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg, who has put together a rollicking ’80s playlist fit for the beach. After spending the summer finishing up our September issue and working on the creative direction for Addison Rae’s new single “Diet Pepsi,” Ottenberg escaped to Provincetown, one of the East Coast’s most popular gay outposts, for some much-needed rest. He took a brief break from TV The notebook and explores the dunes to answer our questionnaire, chats about his worst date ever and what he thinks is currently going on with his pubic hair.

What’s in your system? Sugar-free Red Bull and peanut butter.
LA or NY? I’m mad about LA again and will go crazy if I continue to live in NYC, but I just bought a new sofa in LA and am having it shipped to NY. Let’s see if that changes the mood.
What is the song of summer? For me it is “Diet Pepsi”.
What was the first record you ever bought? “Wierd Al” Yankovic in 3D.
What was the worst date you ever had? A long time ago we went to the Pines to play bingo…

Have you ever had a summer romance? Yes, a few good ones, but nothing at the moment.
