NORTH HAVEN, CT — For North Haven students, the end of summer is quickly approaching and it is once again time to prepare for the upcoming school year.
The first day of school at North Haven Public Schools is Monday, August 26, according to the district’s 2024–25 school calendar.
Here are some of the other important dates for the 2024-25 school year to mark on your calendar:
- First day: August 26
- Labor Day, no school: September 2nd.
- Rosh Hashanah, no classes: Oct. 3
- Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day, school holiday: October 14
- November 5: Human Resources Development Day, no students
- Veterans Day, no school: November 11
- Thanksgiving holiday, no school: November 28-29
- Holiday break: 23 December 2024 to 2 January 2025
- New Year, school holiday: January 1, 2025
- Martin Luther King Day, no classes: January 20
- February 14, Human Resources Development Day, no students
- Presidents’ Day holiday, no school: February 17-18
- Spring break, no school: April 14-17
- Good Friday, school holiday: April 18
- Memorial Day, no classes: May 26
- Juneteenth, no classes*: June 19 (*if classes are held)
- Expected last day: June 9
Graduation will take place on day 181 and will be confirmed at the Education Committee meeting in April.
Additional catch-up days after June 30, 2025 will be taken in April if necessary.
