WhatsApp offers new ways to create stickers, including Meta AI
WhatsApp uses more features to help you create custom stickers and even Meta AI makes this possible.
WhatsApp users love using stickers and sharing them with their friends. Now, the messaging app is bringing more tools to make the stickers fun, interactive and creative too.
The Meta-owned platform has confirmed some interesting additions, including the ability to create custom stickers using the Meta AI chatbot in the messaging app. The platform is also partnering with the popular GIPHY to help you find new stickers.

GIPHY stickers are now searchable in WhatsApp, giving the messaging app an extensive list of stickers. All you have to do is tap the stick icon and search for a sticker using text or emoji. The tab is available in the taskbar alongside emoji, GIF, and GIPHY stickers.
WhatsApp finally brings the custom sticker maker for Android users after a long wait. iPhone users have been using this feature for some time now, which lets you create, edit and share stickers you create using personal photos or more.
Meta AI Stickers are now the obvious addition that lets you create stickers using text prompts via the AI chatbot in WhatsApp. The feature is currently available for iPhone and Android users in the US, but testing in more countries has already begun. Since most of WhatsApp’s features are secure behind the robust encryption, we expect the stickers and AI stickers to remain protected by the standards as well.
This is the latest Meta AI addition to WhatsApp in recent months. The messaging app is already testing new use cases for the AI chatbot based on the Llama 3 AI model. Meta AI could soon work via voice, which would make it a strong rival to ChatGPT 4o’s voice mode, but would be available to millions as a free feature.
