Megan Thee Stallion asks Beyoncé to add her and GloRilla to her close friends on Instagram: ‘Please?’

The two rap stars spoke about their love for the music icon in the latest episode of the Instagram podcast “Close Friends Only”

Megan Thee Stallion has a small request for Beyoncé.

The 29-year-old rapper and Grammy winner appeared in the latest episode of Instagram’s Only close friends Podcast this week with her good friend GloRilla, where she tried her luck with her 42-year-old collaborator Beyoncé, inquiring about her inner circle on the social media platform.

“Beyoncé, if you have a list of close friends, could you please put Glo and me on it?” she asked innocently, while 25-year-old GloRilla joked, “Please!”

The latter shared that she actually has the global icon in her own close circle of friends, prompting Megan to jokingly say “Delulu.” GloRilla laughed and added, “Shawty is totally delusional! I know she’ll never realize it, but I’ve included her in my close circle of friends.”

Before GloRilla’s revelation, she and Megan bonded over their shared love of Beyoncé. The Memphis rapper said she was “over the moon” when she first met Queen Bey, while Megan couldn’t remember exactly how they first met.

“I don’t know, talking about Beyoncé still makes me nervous,” she admitted. “Like Beyoncé is really Beyoncé. Your mom named you Beyoncé because she knew you were going to be that girl. She knew there wasn’t going to be another Beyoncé in the world.”

The “Mamushi” rap star added, “I don’t know, I just love Beyoncé… When was the first time I met her? I can’t even tell you when the first time was because I just feel so cool now because I’ve seen Beyoncé a couple of times.”

GloRilla shared that she is equally intrigued by her past interactions with Beyoncé, saying, “I get so scared. I’ve met her twice and, bitch, every time I feel like I’m leaving my body and going to heaven.”

“I’m literally obsessed with Beyoncé,” she added to Megan, who replied, “You can’t talk bad about Beyoncé in front of me because, you bitch, you might not get out. Because if you talk bad about Beyoncé, you’re really just a hater. Like you’re really a hating bitch.”

Both Megan and GloRilla have had the pleasure of collaborating with Beyoncé on separate occasions, with the former famously teaming up with her for her 2020 “Savage” remix, which earned the rapper two of her first three Grammy awards and Beyoncé’s 28th overall – making her the most successful Grammy winner of all time.

Meanwhile, GloRilla met the superstar at both the 2023 Grammys and the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards. The “Yeah Glo!” rapper detailed her encounter at the latter on the Pivot podcast in April, explaining that she had just presented an award to TLC when she walked past Beyoncé’s room.

“I was like, ‘Oh, shit!’ I was kind of scared,” she recalls. “They asked if I could talk to Beyoncé and she let me into her room. I was like, ‘Ahhhh!’ And she’s always so nice to me. I feel like she loves me as much as I love her. Really!”

GloRilla added: “I’m so excited every time I meet her. I love Beyoncé.”

GloRilla and Megan just wrapped up their headlining Hot Girl Summer tour, which wrapped up in London on July 17. The “Wanna Be” duo seem to have grown closer since touring together, as Megan gave her rap collaborator a special birthday wish last month.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE THICKEST OF THE ALIVE 🔥🔥🔥🔥,” she captioned an Instagram post that included a series of photos of the couple. “I can’t believe I don’t see you everyday anymore it feels weird 😂😂😂 I miss you I love you I hope you try Jamaica with me lol I thank God for another year with you on this planet 💙 @glorillapimp.”
