1. He is originally from Orange County, California and now lives in Jupiter, Florida.
2. Cantlay started playing golf at the age of three.
3. Between March 2011 and June 2012, he was the world number 1 amateur for 55 weeks.
4. Cantlay holds the record for most continuous weeks as world No. 1 with 54 weeks, and his total of 55 weeks at the top was the highest ever until Jon Rahm surpassed that number.
5. Cantlay attended Servite High School and won the California State High School Championship his senior year.
6. He was the best amateur at both the 2011 US Open and the 2012 Masters.
7. Cantlay turned pro in 2012, opting to enter the professional league early even though he still had two years left until he graduated from UCLA.
