NJ State Library hosts “Introduction to Proposal Writing”

Every day, individuals and organizations across the country launch initiatives and ventures that promise a better future for tomorrow. But how do these projects get funded? Often through raising grants. When building a project from scratch, the first question that comes to mind is how to raise the capital needed to make your vision a reality. Fortunately, thanks to generous donors, individuals and foundations, funding is available to those who seek it. But how do you craft a proposal that is sure to attract the attention and support of potential funders? The New Jersey State Library shows you how.

On Tuesday, August 20, the New Jersey State Library will host a free and informative webinar entitled “Introduction to Proposal Writing.” This virtual conversation will take place from 12-1 p.m. on Zoom. Please note that this is a virtual webinar and guests do not need to appear in person at the New Jersey State Library to participate. Participation is free, but prior registration is required. Whether you are just starting out or an old hand looking for a little refresher, all are welcome to use this important resource.

During the afternoon, guests will have the opportunity to learn about a number of important topics, including:

  • The basic elements of a funding application
  • The “Do’s” and “Don’ts” of writing and submitting a proposal
  • How to check if the answer is yes or no
