RUMOR ABOUT TOM CRUISE RAPPELLING

According to the latest rumor, Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise will perform a stunt to build a bridge between Paris and Los Angeles, where the next Summer Olympics will take place in 2028.

According to TMZ, the plan is for Cruise to rappel from the Stade de France with the Olympic flag. A video will then be shown showing Cruise jumping out of a plane into LA and parachuting toward the Hollywood sign.

TMZ says that Cruise approached the Olympics with this idea, not the other way around, and that once both sides work out the logistics, it might end up being a stunt double rappelling from the Stade de France.

BILLIE EILISH

Eilish is a 22-year-old phenomenon from Los Angeles. She has exploded onto the scene in recent years and headlined Lollapalooza in Chicago in 2023.

RED HOT CHILI

The longtime rockers often sing about their Southern California heritage with hits like “Californication,” “Magic Johnson” and “Hollywood,” which is a cover of The Meters’ “Africa” but with lyrics about Los Angeles instead.

SNOOP DOGG

These Olympics would be incomplete without a performance by Snoop, as he was such a presence throughout the games.

HER

HER will sing the US national anthem as part of the handover from Paris to LA. She is an R&B artist from Vallejo, California.

The closing ceremony will be hosted by Olympian and tennis champion Venus Williams, who will join the Californians’ guest list. Other guests include Olympians Carl Lewis, Sugar Ray Leonard, Brenda Villa and Rudy Garcia-Tolson.
