WWE Superstar Randy Orton says he invested 600 hours in Elden Ring

WWE superstar Randy Orton says he has played Elden Ring for around 600 hours.

In an interview with current undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes as part of his video series “What Do You Wanna Talk About,” the wrestler said he was obsessed with the game.

After discussing John Cena’s appearance in Mortal Kombat as his Peacemaker character, Orton admitted that he used to make fun of Rhodes for playing so many video games and that he still does that now.

“I don’t know if you’re still a gamer,” Orton said. “I used to tease you for being a gamer.”

“Yes, that’s you now,” Rhodes replied. “Elden Ring?”

“Oh, I fucking love Elden Ring,” Orton replied. “I have… I almost don’t want to say it. Remember, this game came out… in six, seven, eight months, whatever time it is in February, it will be three years since it came out.”

“And let me also preface this next statement by saying that I was out of action due to spinal surgery, so I had a lot of time on my hands. I spent about 600 hours on the game.”

He added: “I love this game. DLC just came out.”

Rhodes, who used to fight with boots with a Zelda Triforce on them, admitted that he hadn’t played the game, saying: “You asked me something about Elden Ring the other day, and I didn’t lie to your face, but I just said ‘yes’. You mentioned that you play, and I was like ‘ah, I don’t play.'”

“You don’t have time,” Orton replied, referring to Rhodes’ title. “You’re doing great and you don’t have time, and I understand why. I’d love to feud with you about the Elden Ring, trust me. I wish you were a fellow Tarnished, but you’re not.”

“Brother, I get lost in it. The kids go to sleep, I give my wife the iPad and say ‘hey, buy stuff on Amazon’ and then I just play. Oh God, it’s like Christmas every day at my house.”

In 2022, Rhodes was interviewed by WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin, who asked him in a quick round what his favorite Zelda game was.

Rhodes replied, “Ocarina of Time, hands down,” to which Austin, who is not known for playing games, replied, “No, buddy. Breath of the Wild.”
