We go to Disney World every day and are ALWAYS confronted with surprises – both good and bad.
We’re surprised by some of the news Disney announces (you should have seen the shock when they announced that Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America would be replaced), and we’re surprised by the lovable Cast Members in the parks. Now we have another surprise – this time An attraction will reopen EARLY after renovation!
Peter Pan’s Flight is an attraction that opens on opening day at Magic Kingdom. Yes, it’s VERY old. That means that like any other Disney ride, it needs some TLC every now and then.
On July 8th of this year, Disney closed the attraction for a regular refurbishment. Fortunately, it was scheduled to reopen about a month and a half later, on August 20th. Or so we thought!
Disney has now updated the calendar and website and announced that the attraction will reopen TOMORROW, August 16th! There probably weren’t any major changes to the driving experience, but we’ll have to judge that for ourselves tomorrow.
This attraction missed the switch from Genie+ to the Lightning Lane Multi Pass on July 24. Peter Pan’s Flight is a Level 1 attraction available via the skip-the-line service. It’s usually a popular choice as the lines here are long, so we recommend securing a Lightning Lane time for it when you purchase the service.
