Mason, Ohio – The Cincinnati Open, formerly the Western & Southern Open, continues to heat up on Thursday as some of the top-ranked ATP and WTA players will take to the court.
Thursday’s schedule includes a total of 40 games, spread over two sessions and eight pitches.
Reigning Cincinnati Open champion Coco Gauff, who competed alongside LeBron James as flag bearer for Team USA at the Olympic Games opening ceremony, begins her title defense against Yulia Putintseva at the end of the day’s session.
World No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz, who lost an epic three-set thriller to Novak Djokovic in the final of last year’s Cincinnati Open, will begin his bid for redemption against Frenchman Gael Monfils. Alcaraz has an overall record of 2-0 against Monfils and two straight-set wins, most recently in Miami in March. World No. 6 Jessica Pegula finishes the night session against Karolina Muchova after recently winning another title at the National Bank Open.
Cincinnati native Peyton Stearns will play with partner Magda Linette in the second round of the doubles draw against the duo Linda Noskova/Diana Shnaider.

How to watch the Cincinnati Open
The gates at the Lindner Family Tennis Center open at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday for the day session, with the first matches scheduled for 11:00 a.m. The gates for the evening session open at 5:00 p.m. and matches begin at 7:00 p.m.
Matches can be watched live on the Tennis Channel, while select matches will be available live on Amazon Prime, Roku, Samsung+, YouTube TV and Hulu+Live throughout the tournament.
