For the first time, Prime Video’s Lord of the Rings television series, The Rings of Power, can be streamed for free. Amazon and Samsung have teamed up to offer Season 1 of the fantasy series for free on Samsung TV Plus, but only for a limited time.
Samsung TV Plus is Samsung’s free TV package. You don’t need a credit card or a contract, all you need is a Samsung TV released after 2016. Alternatively, Samsung TV Plus is available on Galaxy devices, refrigerators and online.
Best Buy is currently offering some great deals on Samsung TVs if you’re looking to purchase one.
Season 1 of The Rings of Power is available on Samsung TV Plus in the US, Canada, Brazil, the UK and Germany. Each episode is available on demand and on dedicated channels where the episodes are re-aired.
Samsung claims to have nearly 300 million Samsung TV and Galaxy users, so this promotion will bring The Rings of Power to a potentially huge audience. The special ends on August 28, just one day before The Rings of Power Season 2 hits Prime Video.
Season 2 of The Rings of Power arrives on Prime Video on August 29, and the latest trailer brings war to Middle-earth.
In other news, several new Lord of the Rings games are currently in the prototype phase of development, and a new live-action film called The Hunt for Gollum is in the works.
