Kyle Wentworth, CEO and founder of Wentworth Consulting Group, offers part-time CTO, CIO and CISO services for companies that don’t have one of those positions full-time. Wentworth says all companies need a CTO because the CEO shouldn’t be making major decisions about IT and technology, as that position often lacks the knowledge and experience to do so. However, Wentworth says much of the basic knowledge about IT is eroding, and that’s why co-managed IT is so important. But if an MSP and a business leader don’t know how to communicate, IT problems won’t get fixed. That’s where Wentworth and his team can act as “IT translators.”
