The AI-generated dance video of billionaire Elon Musk and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has taken social media by storm. Elon Musk shared the video on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Haters will say this was AI generated.” In the video, Musk and Trump are seen dancing to the famous disco-pop song “Stayin Alive” by the Bee Gees, and people are loving the video. The video has been viewed over 6,507,000 times and retweeted over 3,500 times so far.
The video was taken after Elon Musk and Donald Trump gave a two-hour friendly interview on Musk’s social media platform X on Monday (August 12). The livestream was delayed by more than 40 minutes due to technical issues. Musk later blamed the livestream delay on the distributed denial-of-service attack, which occurs when the server or network is flooded with traffic.

A similar incident occurred on X in May 2023, when Florida Governor Ron DeSantis experienced a chaotic start to his race for the Republican nomination due to technical glitches on the social media platform. At the time, Trump responded to the incident by mocking DeSantis on his own social media platform, Truth Social. Trump posted, “My red button is bigger, better, stronger, and works (TRUTH!). Yours doesn’t.”
Following Monday’s incident, Musk wrote on social media platform X: “I will be doing some scaling tests of the system tonight and tomorrow in advance of the call.”
Elon Musk announced his support for Donald Trump shortly after the attempted assassination of Trump, despite Republicans’ opposition to supporting electric car manufacturers like Tesla. The chat gave Trump an unfiltered opportunity to air his attacks, claims and complaints.
