The South Africa Springboks and the Australia Wallabies will meet at Optus Stadium in Perth in the second round of the 2024 Rugby Championship.
South Africa head coach Rassie Erasmus has made significant changes to the team that triumphed against Australia in Brisbane, adding ten new players to the starting line-up. This strategic rotation aims to increase squad depth and give younger players valuable playing time.
Of particular note are scrum-half Morne van den Berg and centre-back Ruan Nortje, both of whom are making their first start for the Springboks. Salmaan Moerat will lead the side as captain, while experienced players such as Cheslin Kolbe, Jesse Kriel and Pieter-Steph du Toit will retain their positions.
On the other hand, the Wallabies, led by head coach Joe Schmidt, will be looking to bounce back from their last loss. The Aussies have not yet announced their lineup but expect changes as Schmidt continues to move pieces of the puzzle and hope for a better result against the Boks.
