Charity ride and vigil to raise awareness of missing Tennessee teenager planned for August 26 | Tennessee

An event is scheduled for late August to raise awareness about the disappearance of a Tennessee teenager who is the focus of an AMBER alert.

According to the TBI, 15-year-old Sebastian Rogers of Sumner County was last seen on February 26.

In July, detectives from the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office released an update on the case, saying there was still no trace of Sebastian, who suffers from a form of autism.

His father Seth says tips are still coming in.

He says they continue to hold vigils to let people know Sebastian is not forgotten.

“There are people who still don’t know that Sebastian is missing,” Seth said. “There are people who still don’t know about Sebastian, and I just want to raise awareness in the community that I live in and the community around Nashville that my son is missing and I need the public’s help to find him.”

An event called “Sebastian’s rescue mission” is scheduled for August 24 at Fallen Brewery on Jardco Drive in Clarksville.

The charity ride begins at 2 p.m. and a vigil follows at 5 p.m.

Organizers ask for a donation of $25.00 per rider to honor Sebastian’s love of animals.

All funds raised will go to Mikaela’s Mutt Motel, a veteran-owned and operated dog rescue in Clarksville.

“We did animal therapy when he was younger when we lived in Kansas, and he really enjoys taking care of animals,” Seth said.

A protest rally is planned for August 26 in front of the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office.

Seth says he is working to clear his name as a suspect in order to attract more resources like the Cold Case Foundation to help find Sebastian.
