‘Gloves off’: Meghan Markle will detail her struggle with personal issues and mental health in ‘nuclear’ tell-all memoir, royals fear

Meghan Markle will reportedly share vivid details about her personal struggles in her memoir, which will rock the palace and the royal family.

The 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex caused shock waves around the world when she admitted to considering suicide and self-harm in a sensational interview with Oprah Winfrey alongside her husband Prince Harry in 2021: “I just didn’t want to be alive anymore.”

The mother of two told CBS this month she had not even “scratched the surface” of her struggle with mental health while living in Britain after marrying into the royal family in 2018.

“You know, I haven’t even scratched the surface of my experiences, but I think I would never want anyone else to feel that way, and I would never want anyone else to make those plans, and I would never want anyone else to be disbelieved,” she said in the interview, in which she advocated for the creation of the Sussexes’ community, The Parents’ Network.

“When you’ve experienced pain or trauma of any kind, I think part of our healing process – and certainly part of mine – is being able to talk about it really openly.

“So if it helps someone when I talk about what I’ve overcome, or if I encourage someone in their life to really take serious care of themselves and not assume that everything is OK and appearances are good, then it’s worth it. I’ll take a hit for that.”

Sources told Closer magazine on Tuesday that the Duchess’s cryptic admission may have just announced the publication of an explosive new book and is already working on the manuscript with her celebrity friends.

“The word among her friends is that it’s time to take off the gloves and stop being diplomatic,” the insider said.

“There are so many calls for Meghan to speak out, whether it be in the form of another interview or even her own memoir.

“Doesn’t work for them”: Chief of Staff of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quits

“It has the potential to make an absolute fortune and clear up many questions.”

It is believed that the Duchess felt compelled to publish her memoirs after she, Harry and their two children, Prince Archie (5) and Princess Lilibet (3), declined an invitation to Balmoral Castle from King Charles and Queen Camilla during their annual summer stay.

Harry and Meghan reportedly detest the constant suggestion that they are outsiders within the royal community, as it damages their reputation and could potentially put them in danger.

“They are now forced to devise a strategy to fight back and one option on the table is to go all out with a major unveiling event by Meghan in which she fully tells her side of the story,” the source said.

Harry further damaged his already strained relationship with his father Charles, mother-in-law Camilla, brother Prince William and sister-in-law Princess Catherine by publishing explosive allegations against them in his 2023 book Spare.

Royal author Tom Quinn said William, Kate and the King were terrified of another tell-all book about the Sussexes, which they knew would “explode” and bring Meghan the millions she “craves”.

“Another revelation would cause so much trouble; this dispute would escalate,” Quinn said.

“No doubt the time will come one day when they will address all this publicly.

“They are both very cautious at the moment, but at some point Meghan will want to write her memoirs, Harry will want to update Spare partand they will want to sit down and advertise themselves on television.

“Meghan knows that personal memorabilia from her time as a working royal in the UK would sell millions of copies and bring her the money she craves.

“All of this fills Charles, William and Kate with horror.”

This comes after the Sussexes signed a four-year book deal with Penguin Random House in 2021.

In the same year, Meghan published her children’s book “The Beach”.

Her next book is rumored to accompany a number of lucrative projects, including the launch of American lifestyle brand Rivera Orchard, a $100 million deal with streaming giant Netflix, a $20 million deal with digital service Spotify and the Duchess’s now-defunct podcast, Archetypes.
