Katy Perry is being investigated by the Spanish government because she allegedly shot the music video for her new single “Lifetimes” on ecologically sensitive sand dunes without permission.

Scenes from the video – which was mostly shot on the islands of Ibiza and Formentera – are said to have been filmed on sheltered dunes on the tiny, uninhabited island of S’Espalmador, the BBC reported.

The production company behind the video, WeOwnTheCity, did not obtain filming permission for the location, the Balearic Islands’ environmental agency said.

The authority is currently investigating possible damage to the dunes, which have been cordoned off with a rope.

The video shot by Stillz does not constitute a crime against the environment because commercial video and photography in the dunes can be permitted upon request, officials said.

As of Wednesday morning, Perry had not commented on the allegations.

WeOwnTheCity did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment on the investigation.

The 2.9-kilometer-long stretch of S’Espalmador has been part of the Ses Salines de Ibiza and Formentera Natural Park since 1980, the Guardian reported.

The dunes on the private island are the best preserved dune system in the area and are of “great ecological value,” according to the regional government’s website.

The investigation is the latest blow to Katy Perry, who is struggling through her comeback phase following the release of her much-maligned single “Woman’s World.”

The song and its accompanying music video were criticized as a backwards attempt to revive Perry’s signature cheesy brand of girl power for the 2020s, with the Post calling the 39-year-old pop star the biggest flop of the year.

“Woman’s World” and “Lifetimes” were both released ahead of Perry’s upcoming seventh album, “143,” which was produced in part by abuse-accused Dr. Luke.

Perry’s decision to collaborate with the controversial music producer immediately sparked even more backlash, with many listeners accusing the star
