The actress, known for her roles in ‘Made in Heaven’ and ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, wore a traditional outfit as she laughed and chatted with her team and sister Samantha. Reacting to the video, Sobhita humorously commented, “@dr.samantad in the background sipping coffee instead of getting ready.”
During their engagement, also known as Nischitaardham ceremonySobhita and Chaitanya honored the tradition with their clothing, which was Manish Malhotra. The bride-to-be wore a gold Uppada silk sari that reflected her cultural roots, while the groom opted for an ivory brocade and muted gold Tussar silk pattu pancha, laalchi and kanduva set, adorned with antique gold dori work, celebrating the craftsmanship of Andhra Pradesh.
The couple, who have kept their relationship largely under wraps, have yet to open up about their romance or publicly comment on the engagement. However, the two waxed poetic when making the announcement, penning a verse from Kurunthogai that reads: “What could my mother be to yours? What kinship has my father to yours anyway?
