The Southern Uribe-Evans family of Fayetteville was named the University of Arkansas’ 2023 Family of the Year during Family Weekend on September 9, 2023.

The Family of the Year application is now open! Students who would like to nominate their family as Family of the Year can complete and submit their application online through Hogsync. Applications must be submitted by 12:00 noon CT To Friday, August 30th.Any University of Arkansas student enrolled for fall 2024 who meets the extracurricular activity requirements may submit an application. Graduate and undergraduate students may nominate their own family or the family of another student for the Family of the Year award. Employees may nominate the family of a student. Multiple nominations are permitted.

The Associated Student Government and Parent & Family Programs are proud to sponsor the Family of the Year. The Family of the Year represents the University as an exemplary Razorback family. They are selected as a family that embodies the spirit of Arkansas and a family that provides outstanding support to their students and their success at the University.

The Family of the Year will receive tickets to the Arkansas Razorbacks football game against the University of Alabama in Birmingham on Saturday, 14 September and will be honored during the game. The university’s official “family weekend” falls from 13 to 15 September.
