What to watch (stream on Sunday)

August 11, the last day of competition at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, marks the end of the historic two-week event. The final medal ceremony will be followed by the grand closing ceremony, offering one last opportunity to celebrate the Summer Games.

Several medals remain to be awarded in competitions such as the women’s marathon, men’s handball, men’s and women’s water polo and the highly anticipated gold medal contest in women’s basketball, a highlight of the final day.

After all events have concluded, Paris will officially bid farewell to the historic Summer Games during the spectacular closing ceremony by handing over the torch to Los Angeles in preparation for the 2028 Summer Olympics.
