A dental practice in the US state of Tennessee has fired employees who were involved in a video circulating online that ridiculed a cancer patient’s personal diary, it said in a statement.
The video, originally posted on Snapchat, was captioned, “Found a patient diary and now it’s time for a story lmao.” Staff members in attendance can be heard laughing as the diary entry describes the progress of cancer treatment.

The video shows employees of the Premier Dental Group reading the diary out loud in their practice. It is not known who the diary belongs to.
One of the diary entries states: “I will not do dialysis, radiation treatment, or infusions.” The staff present in the video laugh at the options presented and the patient’s concerns about them.
Since the video was released, Premier Dental Group of Knoxville has been bombarded with negative reviews on public sites like Yelp.

“The Premier Dental Group of Knoxville has become aware of an incident in which employees filmed inappropriate behavior. This behavior is completely unacceptable and does not align with our company values,” the Premier Dental Group of Knoxville wrote in a statement on Google.
“As a result, the employees responsible have been terminated with immediate effect. We are committed to maintaining a respectful and professional environment for everyone and will continue to take the necessary actions to maintain these standards.”
It is not known how many staff members participated in the video or read the patient’s diary.

Knoxville-based Premier Dental Group did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
