Raiders open training camp at Allegiant Stadium to fans | Raiders News

The Raiders will welcome fans to an open practice at Allegiant Stadium on Wednesday for the first time since 2021.

Based on the online response to the free tickets, the club is expecting over 40,000 visitors.

The Raiders’ practice at Allegiant Stadium on August 20 will also be open to the public. Both practices will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.

The training sessions are free and open to all fans who register on the Raiders website. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

A limited number of tickets were still available for the Raiders on Tuesday afternoon.

Return home

The evening practice at Allegiant Stadium will be one of the Raiders’ first practices in Las Vegas since returning from training camp in Costa Mesa, California.

The team was out of town from July 23 to August 8 to prepare for the season and build team spirit. The Raiders had a night practice at their headquarters in Henderson on Tuesday, but they can’t wait to open the doors of their home stadium to their fans.

The team was not allowed to open its practices at the Jack Hammett Sports Complex in Costa Mesa to the public because the city is part of the Rams’ and Chargers’ exclusive marketing territory. The Raiders were therefore only able to invite select guests and season ticket holders.

The team had previously held its training camps in Henderson after relocating to Las Vegas. The Raiders had hoped to move to their longtime training camp in Napa, California, in 2020, but COVID-19 changed that.

Three years of waiting

The only other time fans saw the team practice before the season in Las Vegas was in 2021 at Allegiant Stadium.

The Raiders’ headquarters in Henderson offers the team plenty of space to do its work, but not enough to comfortably accommodate large numbers of fans. In past years, access to the camp has also been limited to select guests and season ticket holders.

That all changes on Wednesday when the doors open at 4:30 p.m. The Raiders hope the energy their fans bring to Allegiant Stadium will rub off on the players and lead to a productive practice.

The Raiders will provide a limited amount of free parking at Allegiant Stadium for the event. Paid parking will be available at hotels and resorts along Interstate 15.

Fans can also take the RTC bus service to Allegiant Stadium. Pickup is available from Red Rock Casino, Santa Fe Station and M Resort.
