“Of course, we bring our skeleton characters to life in a great way using the latest audio-animatronic technology,” Josh D’AmaroChairman of Disney Experience, said at the presentation, pointing out that work is already underway and groundbreaking will take place in 2026.

On the east coast, Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World will be the first to have a Magical ride. The ride will be one of two special attractions in the new Tropical Americas land. Guests will arrive on the day Antonio receives his special gift – the ability to communicate with animals. Visitors will travel through various rooms in the Madrigal family casita, including Antonio’s room, which has been transformed into a rainforest.

“This will be a classic Disney attraction, the kind of storytelling that the Imagineers have been developing for seven years,” D’Amaro said at the Aug. 10 presentation. “They’ve completed all of their research trips. They’ve completed all of their designs and all of the prep work. Now it’s time to start building.”

The Magical ride, along with a new Indiana Jones The ride and the entire new Tropical Americas land will open in 2027. Walt Disney World fans can also look forward to new attractions at Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. A Monsters, Inc. land will open at Hollywood Studios, featuring Disney’s first suspended coaster, while Magic Kingdom will get two new attractions. Cars attractions, a brand new nighttime parade called “Disney Starlight” (opening in summer 2025) and a new Villains Land. “Be prepared, you poor, unfortunate souls,” teased D’Amaro. “It will be a fearless new vision of what a Disney experience can be.”
