The next Apple Watch Activity Challenge will soon celebrate national parks

Apple has set the date for the next Apple Watch Activity Challenge. On August 25, users can win a special national park-themed award for completing a 20-minute or longer workout.

Apple Watch activity challenges are offered regularly to Watch owners as Apple’s way of encouraging physical activity, usually tied to a specific event. Previous challenges have been timed to coincide with special occasions like Thanksgiving, Earth Day, and more.

For the next Activity Challenge, Apple, following its long-standing tradition, is once again focusing on the national parks.

On August 25, we celebrate national parks around the world. Earn this award by recording a workout of 20 minutes or more using any app that adds workouts to Health.

No matter what type of workout you do, if it lasts 20 minutes or more, you’ll qualify for the challenge reward and see it added to your fitness app.

It’s fun to overcome a challenge together with others and receive a special award for it. That gives you even more motivation to keep moving.

I don’t know if the challenges for long-time Watch wearers are as impactful as they once were, but Apple likes to tout the fact that many Watch buyers are first-time users, so it’s no surprise that these challenges keep cropping up.
