Only murders in the building airs on both coasts. Hulu’s series about a ragtag trio of crime solvers who make podcasts released another trailer for season four on Tuesday, announcing Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) embarking on a grand cross-country road trip.
At the end of season three, the characters were shocked by the death of Charles’ girlfriend and former stunt double Sazz (Jane Lynch). In the season four trailer, the group must balance their new investigation with a star-studded trip to Hollywood after a film studio begins work on a movie adaptation of the podcast.
Hulu celebrated the fourth season as Only murders“The best season yet,” with guest stars including Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Molly Shannon, Richard Kind, Kumail Nanjiani and Melissa McCarthy.
It was announced in June that Longoria, Levy and Galifianakis would play themselves as actors cast as the main cast of the podcast crew, but Tuesday’s trailer offered further insight into the tensions between the main trio and their new on-screen counterparts. The clip also showed Shannon’s role as the Hollywood bigwig behind the film adaptation of the podcast and McCarthy as Charles’ sister in Long Island.
The trailer also features returning stars Lynch, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Michael Cyril Creighton and Meryl Streep.
Only murders in the building Season four starts on August 27th on Hulu, with new episodes every Tuesday.
